Ada
On Wednesday, the team traveled to Ada, the town Ralph Rye spent time in through the Peace Corps. in the 60's. The drive out began with a hunt to make contact with Ariel, followed by several hours on the road. Ada itself is a beautiful little town near the Volta delta. Beaches abound, as well as people making their living off of small scale fishing. We stopped at Hotel Paradise, and had a fitting lunch on the patio with our bus driver and guides. Taking a boat down the delta, we caught a picturesque and perfectly-timed sunset. Afterwards, we set out onto the beach and were humbled by crashing waves. The ride home left us yearning for bed. The tranquility of the nighttime drive was broken only by a call home to check in with the team.
